It has been argued that time is but an illusion, created by the mind to aid in our sense of temporal presence in space. After all, without neurons that process and store everything we experience, any notion of a past or a future is also missing. All that there is, is the present.
Illusion or not, I feel that photography gives me the power to go back and forth in time. It acts as a mirror to reassure me that the past never leaves me and is as much a part of who I am as part of who I am to be.
