SERIES PORTRAIT STILL LIFE LANDSCAPE PRINTS
Through my autonomous work, I give visual expression to my thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Each of my series reflects a particular period of my life, forming a kind of visual diary. Recurring themes are control, change, and resilience.
In my work, I consciously try to let go of control, making room for chaos and chance. Folds, tears, scratches, and other unexpected traces that emerge in the process become part of the image. They give the work a lived-in, physical quality.
Sharing personal thoughts and feelings doesn't come naturally to me. It feels vulnerable and uncomfortable to expose myself in this way. But by allowing that vulnerability and letting go of control, room is created for surprise, spontaneity, and something larger than my own story.
