10 years ago…

Next month, my photography business will be celebrating its 10th anniversary! This was one of my first major commercial assignments: Ten years ago Cindy De Maesschalck of Studio Oh! Interieurarchitecten designed the interior of Breskens’ lighthouse. It consisted, among other things, of five large mahogany lamps with a black-and-white photograph on the inside, for which I was asked. The concept I came up with was that each photo would depict one of the four elements (water, air, earth and fire), which were connected by the lighthouse as the fifth element. Fortunately, we are both still proud of it!

Volgende maand bestaat mijn fotografiebedrijf maar liefst al 10 jaar! Dit was een van mijn eerste grote commerciële opdrachten: Tien jaar geleden ontwierp Cindy De Maesschalck van Studio Oh! Interieurarchitecten het interieur van de vuurtoren van Breskens. Het bestond o.a. uit vijf grote mahoniehouten lampen met aan de binnenkant een zwart-wit foto, waar ik voor gevraagd werd. Het concept dat ik daarvoor bedacht had was dat elke foto één van de vier elementen zou uitbeelden (water, lucht, aarde en vuur), die door de vuurtoren als vijfde element met elkaar verbonden werden. We zijn er gelukkig allebei nog steeds trots op!
